COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

DEAR BEYOND MEASURE BARBERING INSTITUTE FAMILY,
We would like to address questions and concerns that have been raised as we respond to the COVID-19 crisis. Thank you for your patience as we navigate through an evolving situation in a way that ensures the best possible outcome.

HOW IS THE BEYOND MEASURE BARBERING INSTITUTE FAMILY FAMILY MAKING DECISIONS?
Since our Institution is located in the State of North Carolina, we've decided to operate from the North Carolina guidelines. With respect to the COVID-19 crisis, we believe it is in the best interest for all of our schools to mirror the North Carolina State Department of Health and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper's directives. Our Institute leadership team, led by Shannon Long and Curtis Bass along with our onsite Directors, will continue to evaluate and respond to new information from local, state and federal health officials in North Carolina. This is a dynamic situation, and we will continue to adjust and adapt accordingly.

ARE WE STILL MOVING FOWARD WITH ADMISSIONS ?
We are passionate about connecting people to a rewarding career in the barbering industry and are taking every measure possible to ensure that your dreams remain on track during the COVID-19 crisis. Our team members are executing a rigorous sanitation protocol to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our facilities (see below for more information). In light of these protocols, we only offer in-person tours at our facilities.

We are continuing to assess all available information and continue to follow the recommendations of the relevant state and local departments of health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other local, state and national educational professionals.

WHAT ARE WE DOING TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR FACILITY?
During this time, we will continue to implement preventive measures as recommended by the CDC, state and local health departments, as well as our own stringent health and hygiene protocols. The Beyond Measure Barbering Institute have the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness which assists with illness prevention. We employ rigorous sanitation standards and robust cleaning procedures, including:
-
Extensive and ongoing training of Institute team members on maintaining a safe and hygienic community for our prospective students and team members.
-
Increasing the frequency and extent of our cleaning practices, such as additional wipe downs of all hard surfaces including the clinic stations, treatment rooms, classrooms, bathrooms, and retail counters.
-
Providing additional resources that are available to prospective students and employees including hand sanitizers, extra soap and paper towels in the restrooms.
-
Implementing heightened sanitization and hand-washing procedures for all and employees.
HOW IS THE SCHOOL BEING CLEANED AND DISINFECTED?
The Beyond Measure Barbering Institute cleans and disinfects regularly with hospital-grade disinfectants as a standard practice. Our buildings are now being cleaned and disinfected more often, and frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, clinic stations, treatment beds, water fountains, technology, etc. are cleaned multiple times daily. Soap and hand sanitizers are replaced frequently, and hand sanitizing stations are in shared spaces.

WHAT ABOUT TRAVEL?
We recognize that some prospective students have been or are planning to travel at this time of year. If you will be traveling, please monitor the CDC travel advisories. Please monitor and follow current CDC travel recommendations here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html

WHAT CAN STAFF AND PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS DO TO STAY HEALTHY?
-
Please take the extra precautions that are recommended by the CDC, such as:
Wash hands often with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer -
Stay home if you are sick
-
Cover coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue
-
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands
Again, we appreciate your partnership and patience during this time of uncertainty. We will continue to provide regular updates as this rapidly changing situation evolves.
